Proofreading Services

Dedicated to Quality

Since I am the sole owner of Noteworthy Mom, I have a reputation to build and keep. My promise to every client is to always do my best work. I offer two free revisions for each project if you are unsatisfied with the first revision. My rates start as low as $25 for proofreading. For a full list of my rates, please view my rates page.

All clients get three rounds for the price of one. Email me for more information.

Currently, I am offering revisions in Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat Pro DC, and Google Docs. It is your choice! Below I have samples of all three options.

Support Small Business

Quality over quantity: Support small businesses and work-from-home moms! Larger companies may offer the same services, but you’ll be dealing with me directly, so not only will you be cutting out the overhead, you’ll get to know my writing style.

You’re essentially helping me to be the best wife and mom I can be, while I’m helping you be the best you that you can be.

Also, there’s no one taking a cut from my paycheck, so you’re getting a better rate for my services.

Below you’ll see a list of all my services. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me.

Core Values

I am a wife and mother and I work from home. So, no worries that your project will be late because I went home for the day.

  • Wife, mother, driven to succeed
  •  Great attention to detail
  • Always learning and growing

F.A.Q.

Here to help and answer any questions! If you can’t find what you need here feel free to contact me.

The four stages of editing are developmental editing (substantial or structural editing), copy-editing (also known as line editing, includes content editing and word choice, punctuation, and grammar), proofreading (marking anything the copy editor missed), and page proofing (the final check before it’s printed).

Proofreading is the final stage of the editing process, focusing on surface errors such as misspellings and mistakes in grammar and punctuation. You should proofread only after you have finished all of your other editing revisions.

Copy editors catch all the mistakes the author missed. Proofreaders catch all the mistakes the copy editor missed.

I like to think since I am a person and not a big business, I give better rates and a more personal touch to my service. I offer 2 revisions if necessary for my rates, and you’re always dealing with the same person so you’ll know my style and I’ll know yours.

The simple answer is, you’re requesting more of my time. It takes longer to actually make the changes than to simply mark them. However, I highly recommend you consider my copy-editing services if you have not already had someone do this for you, because a trained copy editor may improve the overall quality of your project.

No, generally speaking, if we negotiate an agreement, I’m going to do the work and meet a deadline under contract with you. I am being paid for my time so I do my best for my clients and include two free revisions if you are unhappy with the first revision. If you are sincerely unhappy with my service, I’ll understand if you go elsewhere in the future, but I’ll do everything in my power to prevent that and strive for your satisfaction. Please take a look at my reviews for further consideration.

If, for any reason I am unable to fulfill my end of the contract, only then will I offer a refund.

Currently, I am open to ghostwriting, developmental editing, copy-editing, proofreading, researching, formatting, and fact-checking. I’m interested in pursuing courses on copywriting  and medical transcription and continually advancing my skill set to serve the needs of the writing community and media however, so if there is a need I can fulfill please don’t hesitate to contact me with any inquiries.
